Duthie park in summer time

Ever since we called Aberdeen our home, met office weather forecast has always been our best friend. I never cared about how cold or hot, rain or sunny, dry or snow before when we lived in the equator. Everyday either sunny nor raining in Jakarta, and we basically lived indoor. Whenever you wanted to go you took a car with you or taxi. Shopping was inside department store, maybe sometime  you went to traditional market or waited outside the house for the "mobile market" came to your house. Here, everything is outdoor. My friend always ask me, "How do you like Aberdeen?", to be fair I like the city, it small and compact, the bus service is good, the people is nice and polite, the city is grey, playgrounds are everywhere, but I don't like the weather. Here you have to take your jacket with you all the time, cardigan, trench coat, bomber, light weight parka, denim, peacoat, quilted, padded, you named it, I have every styles. So summer, what does it mean here, another day with less of rain than winter :)

This summer has brought more sunshine than rain, I was lucky we could enjoy picnic with my ladies at Duthie Park. We browsed the weather forecast 2/3 days in advance so we could plan a day out. We went there after lunch time and packed some snacks. Through the old railway we went, enjoying summer breeze and view. A little peeked to someone's backyard along the way :) beautiful well groomed garden.
Buggy is mommys bestfriend. They are pretty much our car too, can fit literally everything. It just a lil bit slow for a car :)
Look! They were wearing short! They were Aberdonian while mommies still could not stand with the cold wind, Oh north sea. These three pumpkins had a blast!

Well, summer has a lot to remember. Days are longer, skins are darker, laugh is louder. Until next time summer.
